Daine

World tour + cover art

Daine’s world tour had two legs; a Europe tour and America tour. The label required one flyer for both and separate flyers for each leg. In order to keep consistency throughout I opted for a layout where I could make slight colour changes and add flag reference behind the tour typography.

The success of this project then led to cover art design for the release of Daine’s ep. I created a spiritual compass to superimpose over a photograph by Hop Nguyen in NYC. The spiritual compass is a collection of symbolic animals and their corresponding elements, this direction reflects Daine’s brand and pushes the spiritual narrative of the ep.

Nerve

Club Night

I worked with Nerve creating all their graphic design assets for approximately two years. For a club to stay relevant and keep up to date, they needed a full rebrand. We moved the brand from a very techno forward design style with grid patterns and pixelated typography to a more fluid icon which people could recognise and remember. Paired with a cleaner typeface and a replicated oscilloscope animation, we were able to create a more interesting and cohesive look that worked with there music offering and helped grow their popularity on socials and in the club.

Tabis

Convenience Store

This cover art was Cyanotype printed on cotton and aimed at pushing back against the digital world for the debut album by Convenience Store: Tabis. The album is quite soft and layered which was something I wanted to reflect in the imagery. We opted for this handmade aesthetic which illustrated the music perfectly. The album cover design was then expanded out to poster, t-shirt and web formats. Below the two final pieces are a collection of concepts which show some of the thinking behind the final art.

I shot the video below at their concert which demonstrates how the colours and theme was then translated into the lighting - it informed the mood brilliantly.

Cyan.00

University capstone project

CYAN.00 is a series of upcycled, preloved clothing printed using cyanotype ink, which celebrates the beauty of human error. In our technology-driven world, handmade elements are becoming more sought after. Each cyanotype print in this series is unique, reflecting our natural desire for imperfection.

The cyanotype process relies on sunlight for printing, creating a direct connection to nature. No two prints are ever the same, each one shaped by human touch and natural elements. CYAN.00 is more than just clothing; it’s a tribute to the imperfections that make handmade art special. It shows us the beauty in flaws and the unique value of the human
touch in design.

Ned.

Ongoing design

I first worked with artist Ned. on his ‘Your Favourite Colour’ project - this then blossomed into many projects in all forms of media. In my favourite project so far; for the video shown, I wrote the piece the ai voice speaks over the song, edited the video, made title screens and then ran the completed work through an old CRT TV screen in order to get the analogue texture.

‘Your Favourite Colour’ also had a big focus on analogue manipulation through the use of polaroid soups for imagery of Ned and his friends. The polaroid theme then continued into the cover of WTF. another one of his singles which was made from a polaroid photo I shot in Japan a day before he dropped this song.

Stamina

Club Night

Stamina opened on the 13th of September in one of the tunnels under Flinders Street train lines. I was tasked with creating the logo and brand direction for this club, as well as creative direction and management of a 3d artist for the ongoing graphics on socials and flyers. I designed the logo to represent the hard and fast techno and took inspiration from the location and venue.

Interface

Moopie

Moopie at interface was a poster I made while travelling in Japan. I wanted to reflect that inspiration in my work. The client gave me quite a bit of creative freedom with this project and asked for a design inspired by one of my Uni lecturers; Bradley Pinkerton. The style had to reflect Moopie’s fun and explorative sound, while creating a vibrant colour way that would also stand out in the street.

Triple X

Club Night

In the heart of Kuarna, Triple X aims to be the next home for techno. The brief was to create a unique and edgy logo and visual style to represent the music played in the club. The shape of the new logo and a desire for bright , vibrant colours led me to taking photos of petri dishes for supporting visuals. The colours in the petri dishes inform the colours used in the rest of the branding. I created brand guidelines and a presentation deck for them to present to investors including showing how the logo would be applied to different merchandise and stationery.

Coloursound

Promotional Video Stills

For Coloursound, I filmed, edited a promotional video and then ran it through a CRT TV for an interesting and unique effect. The blurred effects and muted colour palette on the video created a new look and feel for an alias Will Landman was launching. It really hit the mark on the inspiration I was provided.
